Daily Cleaning

Keeping your Calacatta Quartz surfaces clean is a breeze. For daily maintenance:

  • Warm Water and Mild Soap: Simply mix warm water with a mild liquid soap and use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe down the surface. This will remove most stains and spills.

  • Microfiber Cloth: For a streak-free finish, use a microfiber cloth to wipe the surface dry.

Handling Spills

Calacatta Quartz's non-porous surface makes it resistant to stains, but it's essential to address spills promptly:

  • Acidic Liquids: Wipe away acidic substances like lemon juice, vinegar, or wine immediately. Although the stone is highly resistant, prolonged exposure to acidic substances can dull the shine.

  • Oil-Based Stains: For oil-based stains like makeup or cooking oil, use a mild household cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the area.

  • Tough Stains: For stubborn or dried stains, gently scrape off the residue with a plastic putty knife or a similar non-abrasive tool. Then clean the area as usual.

Heat and Impact Resistance

Calacatta Quartz is highly heat-resistant, but it's best to use trivets or hot pads for hot pots and pans. While the surface can withstand high temperatures, rapid changes in temperature can cause thermal shock.

Additionally, quartz is durable, but it's not indestructible. Avoid dropping heavy objects onto your Calacatta Quartz surfaces to prevent chipping or cracking.

Sealant Not Required

Unlike natural stones like marble, Calacatta Quartz does not require sealing. Its non-porous nature ensures that liquids won't penetrate the surface, making it inherently resistant to staining.

Long-Term Maintenance

For long-term maintenance and to prevent dulling or scratching the surface:

  • Cutting Boards: While Calacatta Quartz is resistant to scratches, it's a good practice to use cutting boards to protect both your knives and the surface.

  • Avoid Abrasive Cleaners: Refrain from using abrasive cleaners or pads, as they can damage the surface's sheen.

  • Regular Cleaning: Consistent, gentle cleaning is often all that's needed to maintain the beauty of your Calacatta Quartz surfaces.
